Building a secure, privacy-focused platform for digital legacy, inheritance planning and encrypted document storage.
Losing a loved one is hard enough. No one should additionally be burdened with searching for login credentials, important documents, or digital assets. We want to help make digital legacy planning easily accessible for everyone, so that families can focus on what truly matters: time together, memories, and saying goodbye.
Our vision is to become the most trusted partner for digital legacy planning in Europe. With the highest standards for security, privacy, and usability, we build solutions that give people security and provide guidance for their loved ones.
finilog is a European startup with a vision to make the digital legacy process for families in the 21st century secure, simple, and dignified. Founded with a firm belief in uncompromising privacy and zero-knowledge security.

„From my own experience, I know what a difference a properly organized digital legacy can make for the people left behind. When important accounts, documents and digital assets are left in order, it spares loved ones a lot of extra hardship during an already difficult time. My motivation is to help people put this planning in place in a way that is simple, secure and trustworthy - to ensure families are not burdened further.“
Bachelor's in Computer Science, 2027 also Master's in Computer Science (IT security focus), additionally 8 years of experience in IT for security-critical infrastructure.
Building an absolutely trustworthy platform requires validating the concept before investing heavily in dedicated data center structures.
During the early stages, finilog leverages highly cost-effective, established platforms. This allows us to focus our resources entirely on product development, encryption design, and user feedback.
Since all sensitive user data is encrypted directly on your device (client-side) before reaching the servers, infrastructure providers never have access to your real data in plaintext.
finilog is developed with AI assistance. We put that here because it is true — and because you could look it up anyway: the project keeps a complete log of every AI-assisted change, and the encryption core is being published as open source. Anyone asking you to entrust them with the most sensitive things you own digitally does not get to pick which questions they answer.
The question was never whether AI is involved, but how. Here it helps write code — it decides nothing. Every change is reviewed before it reaches you, and the usual standards of software engineering apply unchanged. These are not statements of intent but steps every change goes through:
They run the real journeys, not just individual functions: registration, the vault, handover to your legacy contacts, paper access, recovery.
Runs on every push. A broken binding in a page template surfaces there — not in your browser.
Every change to the data model is a traceable migration, and every table is secured row by row: whoever may not see something gets nothing back.
Every line of code can be traced to a change, a point in time and a reason. Nothing appears anonymously.
For encryption there is one additional rule, and it is the most important one: we invent nothing.
finilog uses only the crypto interface built into your browser, with established, standardised methods — PBKDF2-SHA256, AES-256-GCM, ECDH P-256. No home-made scheme, with AI or without. You can check that without us:
Verify the encryption yourselfSo that there is no misunderstanding: this is about how the product is built, not about your data. What you store in your vault is encrypted on your device before it reaches us. We cannot read it — and no AI can do it for us.
finilog is not just another password manager or simple online storage. Our goal is to build a trusted platform that securely preserves your digital assets, personal memories, and family legacy across generations.
